I have been busy planning and executing shoots with some amazing photographers, models and wardrobe stylists this year! I am so grateful for my uber talented friends and colleagues! Instead of the normal addition to my portfolios, I added an album for the newest releases of my makeup and hair work. Here is a peek at a few favorite images. To see the entire set, jump to my portfolio website. Thanks to the teams; Todd White, Rossi Saenz, Robin Huneycutt, Ainsley Joseph, Emma, Hannah, Mandi Summers and Shelley Riley! Enjoy everyone.
Even though the weather doesn't agree. Fall is nearly upon us. A photo shoot I developed finally came together into a webitorial for Influential Magazine. I'm really happy it got accepted, and very proud of the makeup and hair work I executed. Our wardrobe stylist had to back out because of work a couple of days before the shoot. I had to find someone to cover her and execute the style I wanted to portray. She kicked ass and pulled from a few local vintage stores. We didn't end up with exactly what I envisioned. But I do love the end result. It has a great back to school, grunge feel to it. I hope you enjoy. If you would like to check out the magazine here is a link to the feature: Goodbye to Summer Photographer: Jag Visuals Wardrobe: Laura Hamilton Location: St. Elmo Soundstage Models: Alyssa & Kienna with Brown Agency Makeup & Hair: Jessi Pagel Diaz I officially got a call from a Los Angeles, CA based agency that is now REPRESENTING ME! EEEeeeeek!
I am not going to post the agency name until I am on their physical database online, but it's still a long awaited dream come true. What does this mean? Besides that FireMakeup Artistry by Jessi Pagel is going to be amongst the high-end artist names all over the United States, I can now be called upon by my agent to work with traveling into Texas corporations, fashion campaign clients, celebrity, and the list goes on. I am elated, I am overjoyed..... I even shed some laughing tears. It has been an amazing journey and it's going to positively get even more amazing! Here's to the future! Knox Photographics is an Austin, TX based photographer. We met through a mutual friend, Harper. Harper called me over a year ago to do her pinup/boudoir photoshoot makeup & hair for her significant other, (now husband). Instantly I knew Knoxy and I would get along smashingly. Our busy schedules cause us to miss each other more often, but whenever she calls me up for my services, I always know I'm in for a treat. Which brings me to the photo above. (Knoxy is famous for her instagram iphone photos, as well as her professional camera portraits.) I was touching up the mavens Mary & Ali of STRANGE FRUIT PR, when Knoxy snapped the photo above. They are a wonderful pair of partners that own the Austin based company, Strange Fruit PR. I know big things will be sure to come from those talented ladies! The set was designed by Strange Fruit, Knoxy and her fabulous assistant Christina. That day will surely go into the FireMakeup history books of fun, adventure filled shoots! The finished product has yet to come out. Be sure to check their websites for the images! CLICK HERE to contact Knox Photographics.
Micky Hoogendijk is a gorgeous, Dutch born Photographer based in Austin, TX. "Fish Eye" was her conceptual vision. She had asked me to make a geisha style wig for her, and sent me a few images of what she wanted. (Honestly, I had never tried that wig before and after peeking at other store-bought wigs around town, I decided to jump in and produce it). Voila! This beautiful addition can be found within her works of art at her website, MICKYSEES. If you would like to be a part of her vision, email her by CLICKING HERE. There are some more additions to Micky's work that I have helped her along with, you can view some of them on my PORTFOLIO page. |
